Alex will take you for a behind the scenes look at Shakespeare’s Globe and The National Theatre. Each evening before you see some of London’s great theatre, you will join Alex for a pre-show preamble, and after each show for a pint and a debriefing.
I was fortunate enough to be taken on our last trip to London. The theatre I saw there was extraordinary and changed my perspective on what theatre can achieve. From seeing Andrew Scott in Present Laughter to John Malkovich in David Mamet’s new play (I sat behind Tom Stoppard who laughed a lot), it was miraculous. Just as magical were the museums, the farms, the backstage tours, the intimate settings, the cast of characters, the foliage and the breathtaking art. I have shared a few photos below from our last journey to England. Ah. It takes me back.
