The Archetypal Acting Method focuses on reminding the actor what they already know of the human condition, and using that wisdom to live truthfully in imaginary circumstances. Developed over the past five years with hundreds of conservatory/collegiate level actors, the Archetypal Acting Method aims to synthesize the great mid-20th century acting techniques (Adler, Hagen, Meisner, Strasberg) into one new unified whole through the prism of Jungian Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious. This new method aims to make the actor aware of what truth is for both them and the audience, all while diversifying the choices they see for action before them, and eschewing the guruism that devolved many great pedagogies into dueling tribes.
